I noticed thats its been a while since I've posted anything here, and my last post was, well, me complaining about something. So! A post of good news! (mostly!)
At the same time, some things have been a little rocky. When we figured out what we thought we could live on, we didn't take into account how much more gas we would be using going to Pottsboro and Sherman regularly. The trips aren't far, but - well, you all know how much gas it takes on shorter trips and how much gas is selling for these days! We are trying very hard to not charge our gas and build up credit issues. We are seeking more support and I've even had to look for a possible part time job to supplement our income. We are trusting that all things will go well. We haven't had any reason to believe otherwise.
Our other primary difficulty is having no budget at all for supplies, snacks, drinks, etc... for youth group. We are working on some fund-raisers within the churches to help with that, and I'm also putting together a "wish-list" of things that we need which I will post here soon.
Things are progressing steadily, if not quickly. I am anxious to see how this all turns out, but also patiently trying to follow God's will in all of this. It really has been an amazing few months.
Things are going very well, for the most part at our youth ministries. We've got a solid group of kids at St John's and our volunteer base is growing. We've got a strong volunteer base at Christ Church and our group of teens is growing.
Our community in Pottsboro is starting to come together as well, and there is a strong sense of unity and a desire to work together.
