Hey everyone. This blog is in desperate need of an update, and right now is the perfect moment for it. There's about 100 Special Olympians in the theater watching a movie and I've got about 20 minutes before they all come out.
Things have been crazy around here. Its been a nice change of pace really. Not that "busy" is good, but it has been a good kind of busy around here. Lot of changes to talk about, some of them are changing as we speak, so I'm not even sure how they're going to all work out - but we'll find out together.
First off, the youth group at St. John's is still going very well. We are a small, but very dedicated group. Right now, we are meeting at the church, but we are thinking of moving to meeting in homes, small group style, and focusing much more on daily prayer and bible study. For those of you who remember "Deeper" - its going to be that.
The youth ministry at Christ Church is on hold at the moment as we seek to discover the right role for me there. The largest population of kids at Christ Church is pre-youth group age and that's new territory for me.
Thats a short update, I know, but there are many things in the works, and I don't want to let too many cats out of the bag at once. I did just recently go to a youth ministry conference (as part of a church planter's conference) and have some things to say about that. Tomorrow. See you then!
