What a long day! Didn't sleep well at all the night before and woke up very early. The day started off with chapel orientation at 7:30 and we didn't have ten minutes to spare until about 5:30pm. Class was good, although LONG and we didn't take a break in our first class so I was going into coffee withdrawal and almost slipped into unconsciousness a few times.
Breakfast was great. Bacon. Piles of bacon! Lunch was less great. We had spaghetti noodles with no sauce (just crushed up tomatoes) and the driest chicken ever. They also gave us shortcake and strawberries for dessert, but no whipped cream. It was like 'no extras Monday' or something.
Chapel is great. It's a little weird because we do Morning Prayer, then move into Eucharist. It's also a little long. I kept thinking "I'm not going to worry about breakfast being too short, I'm not going to worry about breakfa.. dang." We did get out in pretty decent time to get good breakfast time. (you notice everything is going back to food here, somehow?) We are assigned seats, so I'm sitting in the front row on the left side of the choir area. The seats were installed like 90 years ago when people were apparently really skinny, and of course the guy next to me is the same size as me, so its like being on an airplane.

My seat is about where that open book is on the bottom left. |
